Producer responsibility organisation for separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment

EKOLAMP is a non-profit producer responsibility organisation (PRO) that covers the joint observance of legal obligations in the field of collection and recycling of end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment for all PRO participants, i.e. producers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment.

Producers and importers

Do you introduce new electrical and electronic equipment to the market?

Producers and importers of appliances are obligated to ensure separate collection of these products under the end-of-life products law, but they do not have to comply with this duty themselves. The EKOLAMP producer responsibility organisation will help them with most of the obligations.

Municipalities and collection points

Do you collect or would you like to collect end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment?

By law, separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment is FREE OF CHARGE for all citizens and institutions, [MM1]and the collection network should be easily accessible to everyone. This is the reason why EKOLAMP builds a sufficiently dense network of collection points in cooperation with municipalities, waste companies, retailers and other entities.

Do you want to hand in old electrical equipment for recycling?

Thanks to recycling, more than 90 percent of materials can be reused. In addition, some devices contain substances that are harmful to the environment. These are two good reasons to find the nearest separate collection point.
